I graduated from the University of Geneva with a Master of Science in affective and cognitive psychology in June 2014. My Master’s thesis, conducted under the supervision of Dr. Tobias Brosch, focused on the role of self-relevance in fear learning.

From March 2012 to February 2015, I was employed by the Swiss Center for Affective Sciences and the E3Lab, first as a research auxiliary, and then as a research assistant.

Currently, I am a PhD candidate under the supervision of Profs. David Sander and Gilles Pourtois. I am financed by a Doc.CH grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation to conduct my doctoral thesis. My research focuses on the basic mechanisms underlying emotional learning in humans. More specifically, I aim to investigate the role of relevance detection in emotional learning by testing the theoretical prediction that stimuli detected as highly relevant to the organism’s major concerns (such as its needs, goals, values, and/or well-being) benefit from preferential (or enhanced) Pavlovian conditioning relative to stimuli with less relevance.
