Eidos wiki
This is the eidos wiki. Eidos is a group of philosophers based in Geneva and led by Kevin Mulligan and Fabrice Correia, working on metaphysics. Its coordinated by Philipp Keller and its other members are Akiko Frischhut, Amanda Garcia, Ghislain Guigon, Aviv Hoffmann, Vincent Lam, Jessica Leech, Stephan Leuenberger, Olivier Massin, Johannes Stern, Marcel Weber and Christian Wüthrich.
Eidos members can post here all infos concerning future meetings and deadlines of the group. They can also correct and complete the eidos manifesto.

Forthcoming meetings of eidos
Planning 2010
Is the following correct? Please prefix your comments by your initials.
- AG uses 10000 CHF for the fiction workshop.
- GG invites Hugh Mellor en mai: 600 CHF
- GG organises the GVA-BCN meeting (2 people from BCN): 2000 CHF.
- GG organises a colloquium for the Bonardi defense in autumn: 2000 CHF.
- OM/CC organise a colloquium on seeing-through somewhen in August: 2000 CHF.
- GP/CC organise a workshop on Perception and Prepositions, 5 or 6 of July: 3000 CHF.
- AF organises a metaphysics of time workshop in August: 6000 CHF
- KM organises a 2-day workshop on non-propositional intentionality on Nov
13-14, together with Gianfranco. 2 or 3 invited speakers, estimated budget 3000 CHF.
- PK organises a workshop with Dancy first half of october: 6000 CHF
- PK 24-26 Septembre. The aim of the workshop is to link up the current debate about metaphysical contingentism (about properties, composition, analyticity etc.) with the older debate on modal contingentism, denying the Brouwersche axiom or S4 for metaphysical modality.
Minimal set of invitees: Cameron, Sturgeon, Wilson, Leuenberger, Keller
Other possible invitees: Miller, Rosen, Salmon, Wedgwood
Costs: between 5400 CHF and 9400 CHF.
Questions and queries
1) PK Do you still agree with what we wrote a long time ago about the prop&rel project? Here it is:
"We now divide eidos and properties&relations activities into three types: discussions, meetings and workshops. Discussions are informal and can take place anywhen and anywhere - but they should be documented (announced + summarised) on the eidos wiki page. Every properties&relations or eidos member should have at least one discussion with at least one of the eidos PhD students per month (including September and October - this decision was taken beginning September!), and initiative for this should come from the most senior of the participants. Meetings are smaller gatherings, usually, but not always involving only eidos people. Properties&relations and eidos members are strongly encouraged, but not obliged to participate in all of them in their entirety. Workshops involve invited speakers - all properties&relations and eidos members are obliged to participate in all of them in their entirety."
2) PK What about the Sinergia money (probably we should not spend the whole amount for the year, as the project will last 4 instead of 3 years)?
3) PK It would be good, if there is extra money, so save some to invite the promising candidates for the Sinergia PhD position - I think it is very risky to hire a post-doc without having seen him/her first...
