Biochemistry Department - University of Geneva

A new faculty member joins the Department: Aurélien Roux

We are very happy to welcome Aurélien, who just moved from the Curie Institute, as a new colleague in the Department. He studies membrane deformation using biophysical techniques.

A couple of key publications:

•Roux A, Uyhazi K, Frost A, De Camilli P: GTP-dependent twisting of dynamin implicates constriction and tension in membrane fission. Nature 2006, 441:528-531. (PDF)

•Roux A, Cuvelier D, Nassoy P, Prost J, Bassereau P, Goud B: Role of curvature and phase transition in lipid sorting and fission of membrane tubules. Embo J 2005, 24:1537-1545. (PDF)
